  4. In order to read the magazine you'll need the following files :
  5. MSTAR.EXE
  6. MSTAR.HLP
  7. [mmmyyyy].MS (in this case DEC1991.MS)

  9. To start reading, type MSTAR DEC1991.MS or just type MSTAR and
  10. a "picklist" will appear.  This will be handy when you have a
  11. collection of MORNING STAR Magazines !
  12.  
  13. The bottom line of the display will show you which keys to use
  14. and what they do.
  15.  
  16. After the initial two screens are displayed, you can get HELP
  17. by pressing [F1] (Function Key 1).

  23. A problem exists with the printing feature. If you try to
  24. print without having a printer attached, online, and ready
  25. for output - DOS will break in and interrupt the program.
  26. This means that you'll have to restart MSTAR.
  27.  
  28. *** What's Upcoming ***
  29.  
  30. For the current DOS version of MORNING STAR, I plan on adding
  31. a few enhancements.  A couple will be minor, cosmetic pieces.
  32.  
  33. The major updates will be : 
  34.  
  35. [1] Full mouse support. This will be used for menu selection
  36.     and articles will have "scroll bars" added.
  37.  
  38. [2] Better printer support. Work is underway to enhance 
  39.     printing and eliminate the reminder that you need to have
  40.     a printer attached.
  41.  
  42. [3] User defined color schemes. Soon you'll be able to choose
  43.     background and foreground colors.
  44.  
  45. [4] Print to File. This will send articles to a file on disk
  46.     rather than the printer. It should be handy for importing
  47.     article text into word processors.

  49. Work is currently underway on a version for Microsoft Windows.
  50. This opens up a new realm, and one that presents a minor problem.
  51. The DOS publisher isn't an accomplished artist. (In simple
  52. terms, it means that I can't draw a stick figure accurately).
